Introspective: Identity

"Mirror mirror on the wall...
Do you still see christ in me at all???
Does my life reflect the part???
That Jesus plays in my heart???
See, we say we are Christian
Yet we don't reflect the Son
We think we are christian because...
Dad is a church elder, mom is that cheerful ol' Sunday teacher
And because of the many bibles on the book shelf
Hence,we are christian
That's a fact
Well, what a cleaver act
Creative art of the heart
Yet a blinded conviction; inceptions with deceptions
This perspective skews your sense of identity
See, you put Gods word on your lips
Yet it's absent in your deeds
It takes a shortcut to many people's ears
But skips the path that leads to your heart
Well, here is the paradox: every shortcut you take will cut you short
Radically shifting your sense of identity
Because you're "Christian" but not CHRIST-LIKE
Here is a poets point of view....
"If zambians have roots in Zambia, so do Christians have roots in Christ"
See, you were made in God's image
To serve a purpose that expresses the vision of God; your artist
That's the core of your identity
See, you are the heartbeat of Ephesians 2:10
A great piece of art created in Christ for good works which God created ahead of time
So that we would walk in them
Dare to take a voyage of self-discovery, trekking across all the Bible pages
You'll realize you've been living in worldly prison cages
And in the vision of my imagination Alas!
Without the comfort of familiarity
Faking peace when your words and deeds are in disunity
You bound yourself in shackles of curiosity
Who are you???
Are you the person God created you to be???
Or just a person this earthly world is begging you to be???
This is an introspective....
The search for our true identity...
