D'sac101 Segment: 99 Jobs

99 JOBS.....and you are still complaining. When Chef 187 (A Zambian Musician) released this track, I was bopping my head to it like everyone else. Then it suddenly struck my mind that a simple phrase like that carried something beyond the muscle scintillating sensations that reverberate into dance. The lyrical genius of this artist or be it his mental faculty is well carved in comparison to many of his peers. What am I driving at? Am addressing the many youth that spend their time complaining and whining about lack of employment or that always want to blurt out the infamous “Boma Iyanganepo” (Govt. or Guardian must provide) phrase.

Each one of us has 99 jobs in us. We are born that way. It is a great insult to God and a crime to mankind for you to leave this earth fully loaded with all your talents and gifts unexploited. Heaven or hell depending on where you end up,will have no use for your talents. Why should one spend an average of 17 years or for arguments sake, 12 years in school attaining knowledge and at the end of it, all that knowledge lies idle? We get educated not to get employed but to be the employer! There has to be a deliberate policy within oneself to change perspective and think big. Education should serve to help you manage your God given abilities better. Success lies in exploiting your talent. In your talent is where your passion lies. And what you are passionate about, you will by all means achieve! So what are those 99 jobs (talents and gifts) you are sitting on? The most successful people in life are they that dared to bring the 99 jobs out!! Bill Gates, Zuckerberg, Thomas Edison etc. all had a passion for their gift. The list is endless because your name is not yet added to it. I leave you with one question, are you a “solutionist” or a “confusionist”? You have 99 JOBS and complaining is not one of them!!!
